Work created in an organization uses that organization’s billing customer and shared credit balance. The person starting the run is still recorded as its initiator. These are different roles: the initiator does the work; the organization’s billing account pays for it. Personal work continues to use the personal account’s billing. Joining an organization does not transfer a personal subscription or credit balance. Switching the workspace menu also does not reassign an existing run or charge.

Control spending

The Owner manages the organization’s billing. Owners and Admins can manage people and their permitted usage. Organization, workspace and member limits can narrow how much someone can spend even when the shared balance is higher. The available-credits display reflects the applicable limits. A role that allows editing is not permission to bypass a spending limit. A paused organization or exhausted allowance can prevent a new run from starting.

In-progress work

A run keeps the payer and workspace with which it was admitted. Collaborators do not take over its past charges by sending another message. If work pauses for credits, resolve the billing issue and use the offered continuation; do not start duplicate jobs to work around the pause.

Plans and provider charges

Motion credits cover Motion’s metered work. A connected provider may have separate subscriptions, licensing rules or fees. Review those terms before using licensed media or publishing through the provider. For API metering and balance responses, see Credits and billing.
